Single One Wipes Machine for Individually Packaged Wet Wipes

Published On: May 21, 2026

The Single One Wipes Machine is primarily used to automatically package non-woven fabric into individual wet wipes following folding, liquid application, sealing, and cutting. It is widely used in the production of alcohol-based disinfectant wipes, baby care wipes, make-up removal wipes, catering wipes, and other similar products. For wet wipe products characterised by small sizes and high consumption rates, the stability of the equipment, sealing precision and packaging speed directly impact the final product yield and production costs.

Although single-sheet wipe machines are generally compact in size, their internal structure is relatively comprehensive, typically comprising an unwinding system, a folding system, a liquid dispensing system, a packaging film conveying system, a heat-sealing system, and an automatic cutting system.

During operation, the non-woven fabric first passes through a tension control device into the folding zone, where common folding methods include V-folds, four-folds and multi-layer folds. Subsequently, purified water, alcohol, or functional care liquids are applied to the wipes via a metered liquid spraying system. Liquid dispensing accuracy is typically controlled within ±0.3g; otherwise, issues such as uneven moisture distribution or leakage may arise.

The packaging section usually employs automatic feeding of composite film, forming individual packs via longitudinal and transverse sealing. For single-sheet wipes, heat sealing temperature control is particularly critical. If the sealing temperature is too high, it can cause the packaging film to deform; if the temperature is insufficient, leakage may occur during transport. Consequently, many modern machines employ PID temperature control systems to enhance sealing consistency.

Certain medium-to-high-speed machines can achieve production rates of 120–180 wipes per minute, making them suitable for continuous production requirements in sectors such as personal care, hospitality supplies, and airline wipes.

Key Factors Affecting the Stability of Wet Wipe Packaging

When selecting single-wipe production equipment, many users focus solely on output; however, long-term stable operation actually depends more on mechanical structure and detailed design.

Firstly, the liquid dispensing system. If the spray volume fluctuates significantly, the moisture content of the wipes becomes unstable, directly affecting the user experience. This is particularly true for alcohol-based wipes, where the rapid evaporation of alcohol demands even higher standards of seal integrity.

Secondly, the precision of film feeding. As individual wet wipe packages are small, even a film misalignment of just 1–2 mm can easily lead to uneven sealing, misaligned cut lines, or even defective packages. Consequently, high-quality equipment typically incorporates a photoelectric tracking system to automatically calibrate the film position.

Furthermore, the material of the heat-sealing blade also affects the equipment’s lifespan. Ordinary carbon steel blades are prone to deformation under prolonged high-temperature operation, whereas alloy blades offer greater stability and are better suited to continuous production.

From a maintenance perspective, the frequency of cleaning the wet wipe equipment is equally important. Liquid residue can easily cause nozzle blockages, and failure to clean the system over time may also affect temperature stability in the sealing area. Consequently, most manufacturers recommend cleaning the liquid dispensing system and sealing blade area daily after production has ceased.

In recent years, the single-sheet wet wipe market has seen a clear trend towards small batches and multiple specifications. Many customers no longer produce a single product, but instead manufacture disinfectant wipes, skincare wipes, and functional wipes simultaneously; therefore, the efficiency of changing specifications on the equipment has become increasingly important.

Currently, some of the newer SUNY Wipes Machine models support rapid packaging size changes. By adjusting moulds and parameters, they can accommodate packaging films of different dimensions, thereby reducing downtime. At the same time, demand for compact equipment is growing; certain models occupy a footprint of just 8–10 square metres, making them particularly suitable for start-up wet wipe processing plants or OEM contract manufacturing.
